Amer Fort also known as Amber Fort was built-in 1592 by Raja Mann Singh first. A mixture of traditional Hindu and Rajputana architecture. The material used in the fort is marble and red sandstone.Amer fort is really very beautiful from inside. It includes popular buildings which are Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Mahal Diwan – i – Aam. Amer fort also includes Shila devi temple and Ganesh Pol. Elephants slowly transport tourists up the ridge in the main entrance courtyard and this makes for a wonderful entrance to the Amer Fort. The most beautiful structure in the Amber Fort is Jai Mandir.

The structure has four different parts, each with a separate entrance. Built from pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble, and divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard. Jaleb Chowk was also the area where returning armies were welcomed and they would display their war prize to the population at large. The key area to explore the amber fort are, Diwan-e-Aam used for Public Audience Hall at that time, Diwan-e-Khaas used as Private Audience Hall, Sukh Niwas is Hall of Pleasure, Ganesh Pol is A beautifully sculptured royal gateway embellished with mosaics, Sheesh Mahal is a Mirror palace, Kali Temple, Jas Mandir and Shila Mata temple are famous for its art.
