Allahabad Fort is huge fort or qila situated in Allahabad city in Uttar Pradesh State of India. The grand fort is built by the King of Mughal emperor Akbar during 1583. The Fort is considered as a national monument by Archaeological Survey of India. The fort lies on the Yamuna river bank where the Yamuna meets river Ganges. The historic fort includes three galleries surrounded by big towers and outer wall is transcends the water’s edge. The Allahabad fort is really beautiful and huge. In present time, Tourists are allowed in very limited part of the Allahabad fort and rest of the area is used by the Indian Army only. Al so Ashoka Pillar and Saraswati Koop area of the fort are only open for visitors. The huge Ashoka pillars are built with polished stones and it is 10.6 meters tall on which many edicts inscription can be seen. The fort is really an amazing location for photography lovers. The Allahabad Fort is also famous for having Patalpuri temple and Akshayavat tree.
