Gurdwara Bir Baba Budda Sahib is also known as Gurdwara Bir Baba Budda. The place is a Gurdwara located on Chaabal to Amritsar road in Amritsar district of Punjab state. The shrine was built by Baba Kharak Singh who was a follower of Sant Gurmukh Singh Sevavae. The Gurdwara Bir Baba Budda is dedicated to baba Budda ji. people tells that baba Budda ji spent half of their life at this place and the Gurdwara is also visited by great Sikh Guru Arjun Dev many times and he and his wife named Mata Ganga got their first Son named hargobind Sahib. The place is a holy worship place for Sikh community and important pilgrimage place of Amritsar. The Gurdwara has a separate compound and two-storied residential block which are used for devotees. The Gurdwara has own lanagar named Guru Ka Langar with large sitting arrangement to provide free food to devotees and pilgrims. As per the history, Arjun dev got his first son from the blessings of Gurdwara Bir Budda Sahib.

The Gurdwara has importance history attached to it. Baba Budda was always lived in the jungle outside the Amritsar City. Mata Ganga was wife of the wife of the fifth Sikh Guru Named Arjun Dev, she wanted a child from her husband so Arjun dev suggested to his wife that she should visit to Baba Budda ji to ask for the son as gift. Guru Arjun Dev and his Wife Ganga Devi was worried about child due to not conceiving for many years. After than Mata ji prepared a wonder food and offer it to Baba Budda Ji but baba refused to accept the food. Later Mataji prepare simple meal missi roti tand pyaag herself and offer it to baba ji. Baba Budda Ji favoured her by revealing to her that her child would turned into an extraordinary warrior and he will smash the dictator’s head as he at the same time squashed the onion with a secured clench hand. As result Mata ji got a son named Guru Arjun who later become the sixth Sikh Guru who is famous as Hargobind.

After some year a square hall and Diwan hall has been added to Gurdwara and Guru Granth Sahib, A Holy book is installed on a white marble canopy on in to it. Currently The Gurdwara Bir Baba Budda Sahib is organized by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Every day many devotees come to this holy place and gets blessings from baba Budda Sahib. The Gurdwara has a Langar facility to serve free food to all devotees who come here with true faith. Many self-volunteers word in the Langar who help to make food and servings.
