Pushpagiri Wildlife National Park is a Bird Sanctuary located in Somwarpet taluk in Kogadu district of Karnataka state in indie. Pushpagiri is the highest pear of Karnataka. The Sanctuary is the most famous bird Sanctuary of the state. The National park houses many endangered birds species which are rarely available to see. The name of the National Park was given from this peak. Pushpagiri Wildlife Park is being considerate as World Heritage site too. Pushpagiri Hill is the highest peak of the Coorg or Kogadu. The Pushpagiri National Park is the World Heritage property which is still well maintained and preserved by Indian Government. The Park houses wild animals like squirrel, muntjac, sambar, spotted deer, hare, Wild Pig, Flying squirrel, Dangerous birds like wood-pigeon, gray-headed bulbul, grey hornbill, flycatcher, small sunbird, blue-winged parakeet and some species of reptiles are rock python, olive keel back, king cobra, bamboo pit viper and rat snake. The place is really calm, and atmosphere is amazing for any nature lover. The sanctuary is full of greenery and thick forest but still has less flora and faunas. Tourists can also do trekking at the Pushpagiri. The place is such a nice place for trekking. While going to Pushpagiri national park make sure you carry enough food and water because there is nothing, is available and most important thing is doesn’t bring children and old age person here.
